Here's Johnny?

12:48 PM
I am hearing that Johnny Sauter is the top candidate to drive the No. 88 for Robert Yates Racing next year. I have no idea how that affects his Busch job with Haas CNC, but he can run both schedules if need be. However, Haas CNC is in the middle of a major expansion, and they obviously will need him if they decide to run a few Nextel Cup races in a second car.

I thought the rumor was DEI was going to buy RYR out, so Paul Menard would be locked in the first 5 races.

Isn't 2007 the year the teams must get down to 4 teams? Seems that one of the Roush drivers could be available.

Why would RYR need a CRASY DUMMY to drive the 88, I thing Gilliland will keep the body guys busy enough for the first part of the season. They better try to find a sponsor for Ward Burton and let him drive and bring the "88" team back to life

I disagree, JD--I think Johnny Sauter has a lot of potential. I've been waiting to see him get his chance at Cup. I hope this rumor is true.

I cant believe they didnt jump all over Scott Wimmer. What about 1 of Jack Roush's drivers in the Busch Series, they both share motors/chasis, why not drivers as well??
