Talladega

• Todd Berrier, crew chief of the No. 29 Chevrolet
Suspended from NASCAR competition until Oct. 19, fined $10,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31 because of an unapproved aerodynamic modification and an unapproved fuel cell vent mounting, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components, and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rulebook.

• Tony Gibson, crew chief of the No. 15 Chevrolet
Fined $10,000 for an unapproved air directional device and unapproved wheel spacers -- a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components, and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rulebook.

• Tony Eury Jr., crew chief of the No. 8 Chevrolet
Fined $2,500 for unapproved fuel cell foam, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components, and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rulebook.

• Dustin Smith, crew chief of the No. 89 Dodge
Fined $2,500 for unapproved fuel cell foam, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components, and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rulebook.

Dover

• Joe Garone, crew chief for the No. 78 Chevrolet
Fined $1,000 for an unapproved fuel cell recessed well, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-U (unapproved fuel cell container) of the Nextel Cup Series rulebook. There were false panels inside the recessed well.

New Hampshire

Robby Gordon, driver of the No. 7 Chevrolet
• James Smith, owner of the No. 7 Chevrolet
Gordon was penalized 25 driver points and fined $25,000 and Smith was penalized 25 owner points for Gordon attempting to hit another competitor's car during a caution period and then throwing his helmet at another competitor's car, a violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Gordon additionally was fined $10,000 for use of improper language during a television interview during the race, and has been placed on probation for the remainder of the year.

Michael Waltrip, driver of the No. 15 Chevrolet
• Teresa Earnhardt, owner of the No. 15 Chevrolet
Waltrip, who was involved in the on-track altercations with Gordon, was penalized 25 driver points and fined $10,000 and Earnhardt was penalized 25 owner points because of Waltrip's inappropriate gesture during a televised broadcast, a violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 9 Dodge
• Ray Evernham, owner of the No. 9 Dodge
Kahne was penalized 25 driver points and fined $25,000 and Evernham penalized 25 owner points because of Kahne's on-track altercation with another competitor during a caution period and Kahne was placed on probation for the remainder of the year for violating Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Brian Vickers, driver of the No. 25 Chevrolet
• Lance McGrew, crew chief of the No. 25 Chevrolet
• Mary Hendrick, owner of the No. 25 Chevrolet
Vickers was penalized 25 driver points, Hendrick was penalized 25 owner points and McGrew was fined $10,000 and placed on probation for the remainder of the year for violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

California

• Glenn Darrow, crew chief for the No. 37 Dodge
Fined $2,500 for an unapproved rear end gear ratio, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 12-4-CC (unapproved rear end gear ratio) of the Nextel Cup Series rulebook.

Michigan

Ken Schrader, driver of the No. 49 Dodge
David Hyder, crew chief of the No. 49 Dodge
• Beth Ann Morgenthau, owner of the No. 49 Dodge
Schrader was penalized 25 driver points, Morgenthau was penalized 25 owner points and Hyder was fined $25,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31 because the car's roof height that was too low, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, parts, components and/or equipment used in the Event do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Watkins Glen

Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet
Fined $10,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31 for hitting another competitor's car after the completion of the race, a violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Pocono

• Kenneth Glen, crew chief of the No. 52 Dodge
Fined $5,000 for an unapproved rear end gear ratio, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing), and 12-4-CC (violation of specified rear end gear ratio) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Shane Wilson, crew chief for the No. 77 Dodge
Fined $1,000 for an unapproved body modification, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing), and 12-4-Q (parts and/or equipment used in the Event do not conform to NASCAR Rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

New Hampshire

• Danny Gill, crew chief for the No. 32 Chevrolet
Fined $1,000 for a seat belt with an expired manufacturer's date, a violation of Section 12-4-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 17-2-C (seat belts) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Chicago

• David Hyder, crew chief for the No. 49 Dodge
Fined $1,000 for unapproved body modifications after inspection, a violation of Sections 12-4-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used in the event do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rulebook.

Daytona

• Joel Shear, crew chief of the No. 09 Dodge
Fined $10,000 for an unapproved upper rear coil spring mounts, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Shear was fined an additional $5,000 for violating NASCAR probation, a breach of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Dan Kolanda, crew chief for the No. 89 Dodge
Fined $10,000 for an unapproved upper rear coil spring mounts, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Harold Holly, crew chief of the No. 32 Chevrolet
Fined $10,000 when post-qualifying inspection revealed violations of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) (unapproved lubrication oil reservoir tank cover) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Glenn Darrow, crew chief for the No. 37 Dodge
Fined $2,500 after being found in violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) (unapproved fuel cell foam) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Tony Eury Jr., crew chief of the No. 15 Chevrolet
Fined $500 for missing the pre-race driver's meeting, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-I (failure to attend driver's meeting) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Infineon

• Doug Richert, crew chief of the No. 16 Ford
Fined $1,000 for an expired manufacturer's date on the lap belt, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 20-17.2 (unapproved seat belt) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Fined $1,000 for an an expired manufacturer's date on the shoulder harness, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 20-17.2 (unapproved seat belt) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Philippe Lopez, crew chief of the No. 07 Chevrolet
Fined $1,000 for for an unapproved steering wheel, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Rodney Childers, crew chief of the No. 10 Chevrolet
Fined $1,000 for unapproved fire suppression agents, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Pat Tryson, crew chief of the No. 6 Ford
Fined $1,000 for unapproved fire suppression agents, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Michigan

• Tommy Baldwin, crew chief for the No. 9 Dodge
Fined $10,000 for an unapproved front air dam extension, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (parts and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Jimmy Elledge, crew chief for the No. 41 Dodge
Fined $1,000 for unapproved body modifications after inspection, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Texas

• Greg Conner, crew chief for the No. 66 Ford
Fined $5,000 for an unapproved deck lid, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Martinsville

• Robert Temple, crew chief for the No. 7 Chevrolet
Fined $5,000 for an unapproved deck lid, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Las Vegas

Jimmie Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet
• Chad Knaus, crew chief of the No. 48 Chevrolet
Jeff Gordon, owner of the No. 48 Chevrolet
Johnson was penalized 25 driver points, Gordon was penalized 25 owner points and Knaus was fined $35,000 and and suspended for two races because the car's roof height was too low in post-race inspection -- a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components, and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 29 Chevrolet
• Todd Berrier, crew chief for the No. 29 Chevrolet
Richard Childress, owner of the No. 29 Chevrolet
Harvick was penalized 25 driver points, Childress was penalized 25 owner points and Berrier was suspended for the four races and fined $25,000 for an unapproved fuel filler and unapproved fuel cell vent, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• KyleBusch, driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet
• Alan Gustafson, crew chief for the No. 5 Chevrolet
Rick Hendrick, owner of the No. 5 Chevrolet
Busch was penalized 25 driver points, Hendrick was penalized 25 owner points and Gustafson was fined $25,000 and suspended for two races and fined $25,000 for the car's quarter-panel heights being too high in post-race inspection, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components, and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Harold Holly, crew chief for the No. 32 Chevrolet
Fined $5,000 for an unapproved deck lid, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• John Latchford, crew chief for the No. 89 Dodge
Fined $1,000 for an unapproved fire suppression agent, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Larry Carter, crew chief for the No. 2 Dodge
Fined $1,000 because the car's shoulder harness did not have a date tag displayed, a violation of Sections 17.2-C and 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

California

• Tim Weiss, crew chief of the No. 73 Chevrolet
Fined $10,000 for violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-CC (unapproved third gear transmission ratio) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• David Hyder, crew chief of the No. 49 Dodge
Fined $5,000 in violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-CC (unapproved final drive gear ratio) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Billy Poindexter, crew chief of the No. 37 Dodge
Fined twice: $5,000 for an unapproved deck lid, violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules); $1,000 for an unapproved fire suppression agent, violating 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

Daytona

• Bob Temple, crew chief of the No. 7 Chevrolet
Jim Smith, owner of the No. 7 Chevrolet
Smith was penalized 25 points and Temple was fined $50,000 for an unapproved intake manifold, violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components, and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book. Robby Gordon currently has no driver championship points, because the No. 7 failed to make the Daytona 500 field. Smith, however, earned 31 owner points at Daytona. Per the rule book, a car owner receives points based on qualifying results, if their car fails to actually qualify for a starting field.

Ricky Rudd, driver of the No. 21 Ford
• Michael McSwain, crew chief of the No. 21 Ford
• Glen Wood, owner of the No. 21 Ford
• Marc Smith, crew member ofthe No. 21 Ford
Rudd was penalized 25 driver points, Wood was penalized 25 owner points and Gustafson was fined $25,000 and Smith was suspended from competition until March 31 for an unapproved spoiler adjustment after pre-race inspection for the Gatorade Duel, violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components, and/or equipment that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• Pete Rondeau, crew chief on the No. 8 Chevrolet
Fined $10,000 for an unapproved third gear transmission ratio, violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-CC (unapproved rear end gear or transmission gear ratio) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.

• David Charpentier, crew chief for the No. 14 Ford
Fined $10,000 for an improperly attached weight, a violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-W (improperly attached weight) of the Nextel Cup Series rule book.
