First top-10 of season has Busch flying high

Kurt Busch knew this season wouldn't be easy. But it's one thing to struggle when you don't have good cars. When you have cars capable of running in the top 15 and the team is at the top of their game and you don't finish -- that's when things get frustrating.more

Biography

My broadcast career began in Portland, Ore., where I graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 2002. My first radio gig was at Sports Radio 1080 the Fan in Portland. I produced the award-winning show Sports Saturday (OK, we didn't win any awards but it was darn good) and did 20/20 Sport Updates.

That led me to High Point, North Carolina in 2004 to start up 790 the Ball where I was program director and morning show host. I stayed in the heart of NASCAR for two years, building the station and getting entrenched in the Southern lifestyle.

All of that brings me here, to NASCAR.COM where I am so excited to be a part of such an amazing sport. My dad introduced me to NASCAR at a young age and I look forward to being involved on a daily basis.

Oh yeah, I'll get in some serious trouble if I don't mention the family. Happily married to my wife Marlene since 1998, we have an eight-year-old son Billy, who loves Tony Stewart; and a one-year-old daughter Kailynn who hasn't picked a driver yet.
