Biography

Before coming to NASCAR.COM, I spent most of my adult life working at eight different newspapers across five states as an editor and photojournalist. Before that, I spent my life rebelling against my parents, challenging my teachers and despising Algebra. I got an F in Photography 101 during college and just four year later managed to be named by Presstime magazine as one of the top 20 journalists under the age of 40 in the United States. Go figure.

A pronounced day-dreamer and forever the optimist, I am driven by creative people who don't take themselves too seriously -- myself included. I am curious and have the attention span of a gnat, but could sit and talk in the park to a stranger all morning. I love a good story and I like being a witness to history.

The internet has changed how I live in and view the world. Technology fascinates me -- but I am a firm believer that we are all over-stimulated as a result of the World Wide Web and that there is simply no substitute for good ol' fashioned face-to-face communication.
