Quick, who were the Nextel Cup runners-up in 2004, 2005, and 2006? While most of us will need a moment to think about that before we come up with the names, in the future I doubt many of us will hesitate remembering the 2007 runner-up. After all, in any other year, under the current or past point systems, Jeff Gordon had a season that was easily good enough to win the championship.more

- Be born and raised in the suburbs of Kansas City.
- Never get better than a "C" in English your entire life.
- Get a bachelor's degree from East Texas State University in Advertising Art Direction.
- Stumble into an advertising copywriting career (see No. 2).
- Aspire to be wealthy.
- Love Formula One.

- Know a little something about cars and driving fast.
- Survive owning a 1974 Kawasaki 500 H1 Mach III Triple.

When not writing and producing content for Turner Sports New Media, I spend as much time as possible with my daughter, Marlee.
