CONCORD, N.C. -- Ted Musgrave held off Brendan Gaughan after a late-race restart to win the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event Friday night at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
Musgrave, who earned his 11th career series victory, recovered from a speeding penalty on pit road early in the race to win the Hardee's 200.
Caution came out with three laps to go, but NCTS rules dictate that races end under green. The race was restarted in time for a two-lap shootout. Gaughan moved to Musgrave's right on the restart and they raced side-by-side entering the first turn.
Musgrave moved ahead exiting the second turn and held off Gaughan by .233 seconds for his first win of the season.
