| BROOKLYN, Mich. -- Dale Jarrett ran down Jeff Burton with just four laps remaining in the Pespi 400 at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, and won his second race of the year.
Jarrett, in the No. 88 UPS Ford, finished 2.285 seconds ahead of Tony Stewart's No. 20 Home Depot Pontiac after 200 laps on the two-mile oval. He overcame a spin off Turn 4 just 11 laps into the race to score his 30th career victory.
"It was a great day," Jarrett said. "Thank God for a safe race and thank God for these guys on the crew. Todd Parrott (crew chief) is incredible -- who would have thought we'd be here after spinning out like we did?"
"It was a big point day for us, another solid run and we needed this," Stewart said. "As the day went on we just kept picking them off one at a time and we got back up there where we needed to be. We had some good pit stops there at the end that gave us the track position we needed."
