1930: Ray Duhigg is born on this day. Duhigg made 54 starts from 1950-55. Although he didn't win a race, he finished in the top 10 26 times. Five times he finished third among his 12 top-fives. His best season was 1952, NASCAR's third year of Cup competition. Duhigg finished eighth in the standings despite starting only 18 of 34 races. Duhigg died in October 1955 in an accident in a late-model race.
