1956: Fonty Flock makes his debut in NASCAR's Convertible Series a successful one, winning a 200-lap race at the quarter-mile Peach Bowl in Atlanta. Flock leads 77 laps, and Marvin Panch finishes second, the only other car on the lead lap. Don Oldenberg is third, two laps back. Flock, who starts 153 Cup races over nine seasons, starts two more convertible races.
