1956: In a field that includes Joe Weatherly, Curtis Turner and Marvin Panch, Larry Odo gets his lone NASCAR victory in a Convertible Series race at Lancaster (S.C.) Speedway. Odo is the only driver to complete all 200 laps on the half-mile dirt track. But more interesting, the drivers who finish one lap back in second and third, Dick Joslin and Art Binkley, are the only other drivers running at the end. The other 19 drivers do not finish. Odo, who made two Cup starts, finishes third in the 1956 Convertible standings.
