1988: Rusty Wallace wins the Miller High Life 400 for his first of five Cup wins at Michigan. Wallace wins by .28 seconds over Bill Elliott, and Terry Labonte is third. Wallace makes 44 Cup starts at Michigan, winning five times and finishing in the top five 15 times and the top 10, 21 times. He had more wins only at Bristol (nine), Martinsville (seven) and Richmond (six). He also had five wins at Rockingham.
