January 07, 2014, Staff report,

Team also announces car numbers for Whitt, Kligerman

Swan Racing announced crew chiefs and car numbers for its 2014 Sprint Cup Series entries Tuesday, with Cole Whitt driving the No. 26 Toyota Camry and Parker Kligerman driving the No. 30 Toyota Camry.

The 22-year-old Whitt will team up with crew chief Randy Cox, who was Whitt’s crew chief for 12 Nationwide Series races last season in which the duo scored four top-10 finishes. They also matched up for Whitt's two Cup attempts in 2011. Whitt brings a total of 14 premier series starts over the past three seasons with him into 2014.

Veteran Steven "Bones" Lane will serve as the crew chief Kligerman's No. 30 ride after sitting atop the box for 34 races last year for both Front Row Motorsports and Swan Racing. He and Kligerman teamed up for two of those races, including the season finale at Homestead.

"Things are shaping up for the team," said Swan Racing general manager Bray Pemberton in a team release.  "We expect to make more announcements in the near future about new partners and sponsors."

Both drivers will compete for the Sprint Cup Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year award.
