Keselowski stars in new 'This is SportsCenter' bit

Reigning champ tries to give ride to "Big Red", but it doesn't go quite as planned

Reigning Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski is at it again, proving once more that if this whole driving thing doesn't work out (don't worry, it's going just fine), he's got a career in television waiting for him.

Keselowski, who earlier this year took his No. 2 Penske Racing Ford Fusion to the ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn. to chat with Scott Van Pelt and be interviewed live on the set of SportsCenter, can be seen in the newest installment of ESPN's fabled 'This is SportsCenter' commercials. The Penske driver, sitting in his Blue Deuce in the ESPN parking lot, tries to give a ride home to Western Kentucky University mascot "Big Red", a rotund, amorphous blob who tries to (unsuccessfully) squeeze into the passenger side window, much to Keselowski's dismay.

Big Red, it should be noted, is the first-ever Capital One Mascot Hall of Fame inductee. Yes, that's a thing.

Western Kentucky University is located just under 200 miles southwest of Kentucky Speedway, where Keselowski earned a key victory on June 30, 2012 in just the second Cup event in track history. He finished 33rd in this year's Quaker State 400 after wrecking in an incident that included Kurt Busch and Greg Biffle.

Brad Keselowski @keselowski
Really pumped about my new @SportsCenter commercial. Let me know what you guys think!

This isn't the first time Keselowski has appeared in a comical ESPN commercial, as he starred in an NFL Films-styled piece last year during his Cup championship run that shows him doing a post-race press conference with a bunch of psychiatrists, eating a huge turkey dinner then trying to stay awake during a foreign film, and finally getting pepper sprayed then being able to unlock a magic eye poster. The theme is that winning is harder than all of these things. The tag line?

"If winning were easy, losers would do it."
