Earnhardt Jr. knows Darlington is 'Too Tough to Tame' but driver may have an edge

"It's a tough race track."

Talk about an understatement, Junior.

Darlington Raceway, universally regarded among drivers as one of the most challenging tracks on the circuit, may be Too Tough to Tame, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed his plan for at least making his laps count at The Lady In Black and putting himself in position for a win.

"Racing at Darlington's unlike anywhere else," said the driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet in a video released by Hendrick Motorsports. "It's basically a two-and-a-half, two-lane race track and you're racing the track more than you're racing the competitors on the track.

"You have to pay attention to how fast you're entering the corner, you can get into the fence so easy getting into Turn 1, getting into Turn 3."

Watch the video below to see Earnhardt's full plan and be sure to tune in on Saturday night to see if his strategy pays off in Saturday's Bojangles' Southern 500 (6:30 p.m. ET, FOX).
