SHR driver also chats on Aspen Dental's "Mouth Mobile"

Less than a week after notching a top-10 speed at Daytona International Speedway's Preseason Thunder, the first on-track NASCAR Sprint Cup Series action of 2014, Danica Patrick was in New York City on the set of "Fox & Friends" to chat with the hosts about a variety of subjects.

After admitting that she's never driven in The Big Apple before -- partially because "some cab drivers intimidate me" -- Patrick touched on her upcoming sophomore campaign, one in which the expectations set for her by team owner Tony Stewart are much higher.

"There's pressure every season. There's pressure to do well for myself and my own expectations," said Patrick, who finished 27th in points in her 2013 full-time Sprint Cup debut. "In the rookie season, what are the expectations? You're not sure what to expect. You want to win; that's definitely the goal. But as time goes on there's less and less excuses."

Along with heavier expectations, Patrick brings in a new partner to 2014 in Aspen Dental, which will serve as the primary sponsor for her No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet on March 9 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Aug. 31 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

"Aspen Dental is a new sponsor of mine starting this year," Patrick said. "I went to New York and visited them last year and this is before we formed a formal partnership and I just really got to know them, and they have such great values there. They really want to help people get oral care. One hundred million Americans didn't go to the dentist last year, so that's a lot of people."

Patrick is teaming with Aspen Dental to promote oral care through a traveling "Mouth Mobile" that rides all over the country to small towns and is, as she described it, "a dentist's office on wheels".

Patrick's most well-known sponsor, GoDaddy, will still be around next season and we've previously seen a sneak peek of her annual Super Bowl commercial for the company. This year's edition showed the petite driver running in a pack of body-builders, with herself looking a little on the bulkier side as well.

The svelte Patrick played it off initially, saying "When you don't work out it just disappears like that, you know?", but finally admitted that she was, indeed, wearing a muscle suit.

Patrick will look to defend her Daytona 500 pole next month when Speedweeks at Daytona kicks off on Feb. 13.
