As the series rolls into Talladega Superspeedway for Saturday's Aaron's 312 (3 p.m. ET, ESPN), Sam Hornish Jr. will be sporting a slim one-point advantage over Regan Smith.

The networks of ESPN and ABC carry every race in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, and the home of the X Games welcomes action sports star and NASCAR's newest superstar Travis Pastrana to the championship chase.

Pastrana earned his first NASCAR Nationwide Series Coors Light Pole Award on Friday and will lead the field to the start of the race as he attempts to lead his first laps under green on Saturday.

Last year's NASCAR Nationwide Series Most Popular Driver, Danica Patrick, returns to the series for her second race of the year. She ran the season-opener at Daytona.
