"People say we look alike."
-- Jimmie Johnson on Colin Farrell
The long-time entertainment publication recently asked six superstar athletes who would play them in a movie version of their life story.
Some are dead ringers, like Johnson's choice of Colin Farrell -- both have perfected the half-beard/half-stubble look -- and L.A. Kings center Jarrett Stoll's choice of Matthew McConaughey.
But then there are a few athletes who shot for the moon with their choices, like Seattle Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman. (Denzel Washington? Come on, man.)
Johnson's pick of Farrell works because, according to the Hendrick Motorsports driver, "besides being a good actor, people say we look alike."
THR went a different route, however, as they say that actor Jared Leto fits the bill better because his "brooding good looks and dark eyes are a perfect match, and his fast-paced personality would be an asset on the racetrack."
Fast-paced personality? Jimmie Johnson? The laid-back Californian probably isn't often described as having that type of demeanor, but we could certainly see the resemblance, looks-wise.
To be truthful, a mixture of both Leto and Farrell is probably a good bet to play Johnson in his eventual biopic.
