About Petty GMS Motorsports

Petty GMS Motorsports began racing in 2000 under a different name, Evernham Motorsports. Over the years the team has changed names a few times, ultimately being named after 'The King' from 2009-2021. Starting in 2022, the organization will merge with GMS Racing, LLC., becoming Petty GMS Motorsports. As an organization, they have earned 20 victories in the Cup Series. Other notable drivers that have raced for the team include Bill Elliott, Kasey Kahne, Marcos Ambrose, Jeremy Mayfield, Elliott Sadler, AJ Allmendinger, Aric Almirola, Bubba Wallace, Erik Jones, & Ty Dillon.
