Ralph Moody Hall of Fame bio

For Massachusetts native Ralph Moody, it all started with a Model T Ford he built in 1935 and raced on nights and weekends. After driving a tank under the command of General George S. Patton in World War II, he moved to Florida in 1949 so he could race year-round. Moody won five NASCAR premier series races from 1956-57. Overall, the Homan-Moody partnership earned 96 wins and 83 poles in 525 premier starts.
