The No. 17 car in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series received a safety violation on Tuesday for having a lug nut not properly installed at the conclusion of Monday's race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The issue was discovered in post-race inspection, and NASCAR has fined crew chief Brian Pattie $10,000 as a result. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove the No. 17 Roush Fenway Racing Ford to a fourth-place finish in the Food City 500 at Bristol. Stenhouse is 18th in the series standings.
