Darrell Waltrip formally announced Friday his retirement from the FOX Sports booth following the June race at Sonoma Raceway, saying farewell in a press conference that was emotional, passionate and from the heart -- just like the man himself. Waltrip got plenty of laughs during his opening statement, and there may have been a few tears by the end as well. And naturally, there was a piece of news when the 72-year-old Hall of Famer agreed to wave the green flag at the start of Sunday's race (2 p.m., FS1, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) at the "Last Great Colosseum."
