Joey Logano honors Bobby Allison with Darlington throwback scheme

Joey Logano will pilot a Bobby Allison-inspired throwback paint scheme for the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Sept. 6 (6 p.m. ET on NBCSN/NBC Sports App, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). Logano's No. 22 Ford was unveiled on Team Penske's social media channels Friday morning. The design pays tribute to the No. 22 Buick that Allison drove during the 1985 NASCAR Cup Series season.
