Josh Berry's No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford will share the front row after registering the second-fastest lap at 131.026 mph, just 0.015 seconds behind Reddick's time. William Byron qualified third with series points leader Denny Hamlin fourth and Shane van Gisbergen rounding out the top five starters.
AJ Allmendinger's No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet scraped the outside retaining wall as he steamed toward the green flag to begin his qualifying attempt. He continued and grabbed the 24th starting spot in the 36-car field.
The 301-lap race is the next-to-last race of the Cup Series' regular season. The 16-driver Chase postseason field will be locked in after this weekend's race at New Hampshire and the Aug. 29 regular-season finale at Daytona International Speedway.
