Goodyear will bring the same intermediate oval tire setup used at Kansas in the spring for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Chase presented by Mobil 1 race at Kansas Speedway (3 p.m. ET, USA Network, HBO Max, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
The tire combination has been used several times since the spring Kansas race, most recently in the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway to start The Chase. The left-side tire has also been used three other times this season, most recently at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July.

"We introduced new right-side Goodyear Racing Eagles at this race last fall, which helped give teams different strategy options," said Rick Heinrich, Goodyear NASCAR product manager. "This weekend will be the third time Cup Series teams have run this setup at Kansas, and the eighth time they have done so this season, so they come to Kansas with valuable data to help with their setups."
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will use the same left- and right-side tires from earlier events this season at Texas Motor Speedway and Michigan International Speedway. The Truck Series will race at Kansas on Saturday (1 p.m. ET, FS1, FOX One, NASCAR Racing Network Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio), the second race of its Chase.
Tire allotment for each team competing this weekend:
Cup Series: 11 total sets -- 8 new for the race, 1 for qualifying that transfers to the race, and 2 for practice.
Craftsman Truck Series: 5 total sets -- 3 new for the race, 1 for qualifying that transfers to the race, and 1 for practice.
