Daniel Suárez, Julia Piquet welcome baby boy

Daniel Suárez and Julia Piquet announced the arrival of their first child Tuesday, welcoming a son -- Otto Suárez Piquet -- to their family. Suárez shared photos on Instagram showing Piquet and their newborn son together after the birth. Suárez, who drives the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports, had been on baby watch in recent weeks while competing in the NASCAR Cup Series Chase presented by Mobil 1. Piquet's original due date was Sept. 17, and NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series regular Justin Allgaier was on standby for the No. 7 team last weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway, where Suárez finished 14th in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race. Suárez ranks 16th in the Cup Series standings. He earned his first victory of the season in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 24, 49 days after the couple announced they were expecting their first child.
