Chase drivers Hocevar, Wallace involved in multicar incident on Lap 123 restart

Championship contenders Carson Hocevar and Bubba Wallace were among drivers involved in a multicar incident on a Lap 123 restart during the NASCAR Cup Series Chase presented by Mobil 1, race at Kansas Speedway. Just after taking the green flag, the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet driver moved right behind Chase Elliott but there was not enough room as Hocevar collided with Ty Gibbs to spark a wreck that also caught up non-Chase drivers Josh Berry, Zane Smith and Erik Jones.
