Goodyear to provide proven tire combinations for Chase tripleheader in Phoenix

Goodyear will provide tried-and-true tire setups to all three NASCAR national series for this weekend's Chase events at Phoenix Raceway.
The three series will carry over the same tire combinations from their most recent visits to the 1-mile Arizona oval. The NASCAR Cup Series and O'Reilly Auto Parts Series will use the familiar setup from their visit last March, and the Craftsman Truck Series last used this combo for its season finale last fall.

The NASCAR Cup Series will ride on left-side rubber that's used only at Phoenix. The right-side rubber for Sunday's Freeway Insurance 500 (3 p.m. ET, USA Network, HBO Max, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) -- the sixth of 10 races in The Chase presented by Mobil 1 -- has been deployed at five other tracks this season, most recently at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in August.
"The Goodyear Racing Eagles we are bringing this weekend have already been proven on track at Phoenix," said Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear's Director of Racing for the Americas. "This is a somewhat unusual track, so we draw from our typical short track and intermediate track packages, along with a left-side Cup Series tire that only races here."
The O'Reilly Auto Parts Series will take part in Saturday's Timberland PRO 200 (7:30 p.m. ET, The CW, ESPN Unlimited, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) with a tire setup last used at World Wide Technology Raceway in Gateway last month. The Craftsman Truck Series will compete in Friday's Zero Carbon Bioethanol 150 Powered by Poet (7:30 p.m. ET, FS2, FOX One, NRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio), riding on a Goodyear combination that has seen action four times since last year's championship race.
All three series will also have access to wet-weather tires (four sets for each Cup Series team, and three sets each in the O'Reilly and Trucks Series) in the event of inclement weather.
