Chandler Smith fired to the lead in the final restart of Friday's Craftsman Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway, earning his third victory of the 2026 season as Layne Riggs and Kaden Honeycutt each had separate slips in the closing laps. Smith lined up next to his Front Row Motorsports teammate on a restart with 13 laps to go, taking the lead from the high side. Riggs, who led 156 laps and swept the stages, lost momentum exiting Turn 4, surrendering a win and instead finishing third. Ultimately, Riggs still shaved 23 points off his deficit and heads to Homestead-Miami Speedway just 20 markers behind Honeycutt. Ben Rhodes finished second, with Riggs, Ty Majeski and McKee rounding out the top five. Andrés Pérez, Tyler Ankrum, Gio Rugiero, William Sawalich and Christian Eckes completed the top 10. Smith, Majeski and Eckes were all officially eliminated from title contention Friday, setting the stage for the series' two most dominant drivers this season to duke it out in South Beach next week. The season finale is set for Homestead on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET (FS1, FOX One, NASCAR Racing Network Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). This story will be updated.
