Carson Kvapil took the checkered flag in Saturday evening's NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase race at Martinsville Speedway presented by Mobil 1. The No. 1 JR Motorsports Chevrolet driver led a race-high 121 laps around the Virginia short track and held off teammate Justin Allgaier by 0.434 seconds. RELATED: Unofficial results | At-track photos: Martinsville Allgaier's runner-up result put him back in the championship lead with an unofficial 23-point lead over both Corey Day and Jesse Love. Day, Brandon Jones and Sam Mayer completed the top five. Sheldon Creed, Sammy Smith, William Sawalich, Brent Crews and Taylor Gray rounded out the top 10. Smith and Mayer were eliminated from title contention following the race. Love, who entered the penultimate race of the year with a 19-point championship lead, had a Halloween to forget at the track as the No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet battled mechanical gremlins all race long after an early race incident. With 30 laps to go, Love lost brakes entering Turn 1 and crashed into the outside retaining wall. Love was credited with a 30th-place result, three laps down. The 2026 O'Reilly season wraps up next Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, where the series champion will be crowned (5 p.m. ET, The CW, ESPN Unlimited, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). Allgaier, Love, Day, Kvapil and Creed are all mathematically eligible to win the title. This story will be updated.
