The start time for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway has been moved up by one hour because of the threat of inclement weather.
Competition officials said Friday that the Dollar Tree 301 is now scheduled for an earlier Sunday, 2 p.m. ET start with coverage on USA Network, HBO Max, PRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. The 301-lap event is the next-to-last race in the Cup Series' 26-race regular season.

Cup Series teams are scheduled to have four sets of wet-weather tires as part of their Goodyear allotment for the race weekend. The treaded rubber is available to help race officials get back to green-flag racing sooner in the event of damp conditions. Sunday's forecast calls for a 60% chance of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service.
The 16-driver field for the 10-race Chase postseason will be determined after Sunday's New Hampshire event and the regular-season finale on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Daytona International Speedway (7:30 p.m. ET, NBC, HBO Max, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
Saturday's schedule at the 1.058-mile Granite State oval features a doubleheader with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series' regular-season finale at 1:30 p.m. ET (FS1, NASCAR Racing Network Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) followed by the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at 4:30 p.m. ET (FloRacing).
