Goodyear is set to bring its familiar short-track tire setup for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (3 p.m. ET, USA Network, HBO Max, PRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Cup Series teams will use the same left- and right-side tire compounds used last weekend in the night race at Richmond Raceway.

The short-track tire setup debuted in the 2025 Martinsville fall race. The setup is designed to increase grip and lap-time fall-off over the course of a green-flag run. Goodyear will make just one adjustment to its normal allotment, bringing an additional set of tires for practice with the Cup Series now running just a single 50-minute session for the remainder of the season at non-superspeedway tracks.

“Despite being just over one-mile long, New Hampshire fits into the short-track category, meaning the same Goodyear Racing Eagles used last weekend at Richmond are again the right choice this weekend,” said Rick Heinrich, Goodyear NASCAR product manager. “The new practice format starting in New Hampshire means we will now bring more tires to the track to account for the increased allocation of two sets for practice most weekends.”

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will use the same left- and right-side tires from the series’ last three short-track races at Richmond, North Wilkesboro and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. The Truck Series will race at New Hampshire on Saturday (1:30 p.m. ET, FS1, FOX One, NASCAR Racing Network Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Tire allotment for each team competing this weekend:

Cup Series: 10 total sets — 7 new for the race, 1 for qualifying that transfers to the race, and 2 for practice. Teams will also have 4 wet-weather sets available, if needed.
Craftsman Truck Series: 5 total sets — 3 new for the race, 1 for qualifying that transfers to the race, and 1 for practice. Teams will also have 3 wet-weather sets available, if needed.
