GM Recognizes Idaho Auto Auction as 2004 GM Auction of the Year

BOISE, Idaho, Feb 09, 2005 /PRNewswire via AP/

General Motors has presented the 2004 GM Auction of the Year award to Idaho Auto Auction, a member of the ServNet independent auction group. Idaho Auto Auction, one of 46 GM Sponsored Auctions across the United States, was recognized for its overall achievement in providing GM and its dealers with outstanding quality, service and value at GM Sponsored Auctions during 2004.

Jeff Heichel, director, GM Used Vehicle Activities, presented the 2004 GM Auction of the Year award to Steve Marlow, owner, Idaho Auto Auction, in Boise, Idaho.

"The criteria we use in determining the GM Auction of the Year are simple," said Heichel. "It's an award recognizing overall achievement in reconditioning, repairs and presentation of GM used vehicles to our dealers. Idaho Auto Auction provides a high level of customer service and a quality product for GM dealers and their sales results tell the story of their success."

Idaho Auto Auction sold 12,000 used vehicles at GM Sponsored Auctions and GMAC open auctions in 2004. Part of the GM Sponsored Auctions program since 1996, Idaho Auto Auction has been one of the top three performers for GM in each of the past three years, selling more than 10,600 units in 2003 and nearly 10,000 units in 2002.
