Mark Martin and Rusty Wallace have combined for nine victories at Michigan. Martin has four wins at the 2-mile track, while Wallace has five.

Wallace won the 1988 Miller High Life 400, the first Cup race at MIS in which both drivers were entered. Martin finished 14th.

Sunday will be Martin's 39th start at Michigan. He has 14 top-five finishes and 25 top-10s, tops among active full-time drivers. His average finish is 11.8, with five DNFs.

The Batman Begins 400 will be Wallace's 43rd start at the track. He has 15 top-fives and 20 top-10s. His average finish is 14.3, with six DNFs.

Travis Kvapil

Kyle Busch and Travis Kvapil will make their first Cup starts at Michigan on Sunday.

Busch won his only Busch Series race at the track, beating Mark Martin in the Cabela's 250 on Aug. 21, 2004.

Kvapil has raced three times at MIS in the Truck Series, finising in the top 10 each time. He won the Line-X Spray-On Truck Bedliners 200 on July 31, 2004.

Busch leads the rookie of the year standings by 40 points over Kvapil. Through 14 races, Busch has five top-10s and Kvapil one.

Busch's average finish this year is 19.3, while Kvapil's is 25.4.
