DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Four NASCAR developmental drivers will appear at the Columbus Clippers baseball game at Cooper Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, Aug. 22 in advance of Saturday’s doubleheader of racing action at Mansfield (Ohio) Motorsports Park.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Tim Brown moved closer to the record books at one of NASCAR’s most historic short tracks as he picked up his seventh Modified Division championship this past weekend at Bowman Gray Stadium.
The 36-year-old Cana, Va. driver is one championship behind the record set by Ralph Brinkley at the Stadium. Bowman Gray is the longest running NASCAR-sanctioned short track. Brown’s title broke a tie with Junior Miller, who has six track championships.

Mansfield Motorsports Park hosts the NASCAR Camping World Series East’s return to short-track racing with the Mansfield 150 Saturday, August 23.
Following last week’s final road-course event of the season, many teams welcome the return to the more familiar ovals, especially the .500-mile short-track showcase in central Ohio.
“I’m excited to go back there,” said Eddie Mac Donald, (No. 71 Grimm Construction Chevrolet).

Following its debut in the Buckeye State a year ago, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will return to Mansfield (Ohio) Motorsports Park on Saturday, Aug. 23.
The Whelen 150 will be the second half of a doubleheader of NASCAR racing action at the mid-Ohio track. The NASCAR Camping World Series East is set to go green at 5:30 p.m., followed by the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
