Clint Bowyer's sophomore season came with one win at Richmond. Bowyer beat out Kyle Busch for the victory, avoiding wreckage and leading just 13 laps. Bowyer would go on to win another race at the .75-mile track.

Clint Bowyer earned his first win at a restrictor-plate track at Talladega when the race ended under caution. Bowyer and Kevin Harvick were battling for the lead on the final lap after a restart when a sixth caution came out and ended the race just as Bowyer crossed the finish line.

The race was extended from 110 laps to 112 due to a green-white-checkered finish where Bowyer crossed the line .829 seconds ahead of Tony Stewart ... his future team owner.
