Charlotte Motor Speedway is known for its illustrious history of fabulous firsts, including the first and only track to host a 600-mile event: the Coca-Cola 600, which since 1960 has remained NASCAR’s toughest test of man and machine.

Austin Dillon captured his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series victory in last year’s Coca-Cola 600, when Dillon – the grandson of legendary NASCAR team owner Richard Childress – used expert fuel strategy to go the distance and drive into the history books.

Charlotte Motor Speedway became the first superspeedway to host a night race in 1992, when the Monster Energy All-Star Race roared to life under the lights. Davey Allison beat Kyle Petty to the finish line in an unforgettable race still regarded as one of the most remarkable in NASCAR history.
