Shortly into Stage 2, Kyle Larson and Daniel Hemric made contact, creating a tire rub on Larson's machine. That's just short-track racing.

Like most tire rubs, it didn't end well for the No. 42, ending Larson's evening a short while later.

Leader Kyle Busch, who was going to have it his way or nothing at all, was moving too fast. Yep, the No. 18 was busted for speeding on pit road.

Though, you've got to hand it to McDowell, who gave a valiant attempt to get going again after the crash.

Martin Truex Jr. reclaimed the lead after the McDowell caution, swapping the lead back and forth with Brad Keselowski -- just a couple of former champs going at it.

Eventually, Truex distanced himself from Keselowski, who burned up the brakes on his Ford, as evidenced by the glowing red brake rotors on the No. 2.

While it looked like Martin Truex Jr. was going to finally win his first-ever short-track race in his 81st attempt, Clint Bowyer and Joey Logano closed in on the No. 19.

Despite the challengers' efforts, he did it -- Martin Truex Jr. won his first short-track race and his first race for Joe Gibbs Racing, barely holding off Joey Logano.
