With the Monster Energy Series off for Father's Day weekend, Pat DeCola ranks the top 20 drivers in the Xfinity and Gander Outdoors Truck Series as both series head to Iowa.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - JUNE 07: Todd Gilliland, driver of the #4 Mobil 1 Toyota, is introduced prior to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 07, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. (Photo by Chris Graythen/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Driver: Todd Gilliland

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 20

Comment: Gilliland's boss Kyle Busch has made his feelings known about his young protege and his lack of performance, and for good reason. We routinely see Rowdy win in his own trucks, yet Gilliland has just one top five in nine 2019 starts.

BROOKLYN, MICHIGAN - JUNE 07: Brandon Jones, driver of the #19 1st Foundation Toyota, laughs before getting into his car during practice for the NASCAR Xfinity Series LTi Printing 250 at Michigan International Speedway on June 07, 2019 in Brooklyn, Michigan. Logan Riely | Getty Images

Driver: Brandon Jones

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 19

Comment: Jones has led 50 laps on the season -- fifth-most in the series -- but with just seven top 10s in 13 races thus far he's hanging onto the final spot in the provisional playoff field.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - JUNE 07: Harrison Burton, driver of the #18 Safelite AutoGlass Toyota, looks on during US Concrete Qualifying Day for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 07, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. Jonathan Ferrey | Getty Images

Driver: Harrison Burton

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 18

Comment: Like his Kyle Busch Motorsports teammate, Burton has yet to put together the finishes to be expected out of such a top-tier ride. Just five top 10s and two laps led in nine races won't cut it in KBM equipment.

LONG POND, PENNSYLVANIA - JUNE 01: Justin Haley, driver of the #11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet, looks on during qualifying for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway on June 01, 2019 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jared C. Tilton | Getty Images

Driver: Justin Haley

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 17

Comment: After a Championship 4 appearance in Gander Trucks last year, Haley's got some work to do to be considered a contender to make it there in his rookie Xfinity Series season. Still, 10 top 10s in 13 starts is pretty decent for the 20-year-old.

LONG POND, PENNSYLVANIA - MAY 31: Noah Gragson, driver of the #9 Switch Chevrolet, prepares during practice for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway on May 31, 2019 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jonathan Ferrey | Getty Images

Driver: Noah Gragson

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 16

Comment: Stepping into a perennial contender of a ride, Gragson hasn't exactly set the world on fire with just top 10s in fewer than half the races (six). His JRM teammate Justin Allgaier has just one more, but is fifth in points and has 262 laps led to Gragson's 45.

7 of 21

LONG POND, PENNSYLVANIA - JUNE 01: John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the #23 ISM Connect Chevrolet, looks on during qualifying for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway on June 01, 2019 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jonathan Ferrey | Getty Images

Driver: John Hunter Nemechek

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 15

Comment: Nemechek is still looking for his first win of the season, but is on pace for a career high in top 10s. He's also led laps in two of the last three races, his first of the season.

8 of 21

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - JUNE 06: Ben Rhodes, driver of the #99 Carolina Nut Ford, stands in the garage during practice for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 06, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. (Photo by Sean Gardner/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Sean Gardner | Getty Images

Driver: Ben Rhodes

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 14

Comment: Of the seven races that Rhodes has finished, six were top 10s -- and four were top fives. He's paced 72 laps out front this year, and a win is certainly in the cards for him.

9 of 21

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - JUNE 07: Johnny Sauter, driver of the #13 Tenda Heal Ford, looks on during US Concrete Qualifying Day for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 07, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. (Photo by Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jared C. Tilton | Getty Images

Driver: Johnny Sauter

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 13

Comment: Sauter would be the No. 2 seed in the playoffs if they started today ... but they don't, and his five top 10s in nine races isn't exactly what you want to see out of a championship contender.

10 of 21

LONG POND, PENNSYLVANIA - JUNE 01: Michael Annett, driver of the #1 Pilot/Flying J Chevrolet, looks on during qualifying for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway on June 01, 2019 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jonathan Ferrey | Getty Images

Driver: Michael Annett

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 12

Comment: Annett has just three top-five finishes, but his stature (and playoff seeding) is boosted by a win. He's consistent (nine top 10s) and has led laps on three very different style of race tracks.

11 of 21

KANSAS CITY, KS - MAY 10: Austin Hill, driver of the #16 Toyota Racing Development Toyota, stands onpit road during qualifying for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Digital Ally 250 at Kansas Speedway on May 10, 2019 in Kansas City, Kansas. (Photo by Sean Gardner/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Sean Gardner | Getty Images

Driver: Austin Hill

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 11

Comment: Hill would start the playoffs in fourth today despite his seventh-place overall standing. After a three-race stretch of rough outings early on after his Daytona win, he's started to put it together with four straight top-eight finishes.

12 of 21

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - JUNE 06: Brett Moffitt, driver of the #24 Central Plains Cement Company Chevrolet, stands in the garage during practice for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 06, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. (Photo by Sean Gardner/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Sean Gardner | Getty Images

Driver: Brett Moffitt

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 10

Comment: Last year's champ has yet to find Victory Lane in 2019 and his five top 10s are a little concerning. Still, we know the talent is there -- four of those finishes were top fives and he's led 125 laps -- and could break out for a win at any moment.

13 of 21

CHARLOTTE, NC - MAY 17: Matt Crafton, driver of the #88 Ideal Door/Menards Ford, stands on the grid during qualifying for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 17, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Photo by Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jared C. Tilton | Getty Images

Driver: Matt Crafton

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 9

Comment: Crafton hasn't been exceptional this year, but he's been consistently great. Just 19 laps led is un-Crafton-like, but eight top 10s -- six of which were top fives -- bode well for his outlook.

14 of 21

LONG POND, PENNSYLVANIA - MAY 31: Austin Cindric, driver of the #22 MoneyLion Ford, sits in his car during practice for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway on May 31, 2019 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jared C. Tilton | Getty Images

Driver: Austin Cindric

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 8

Comment: Tied for second in the series in top 10s (10), he's done a solid job of keeping the car clean and getting decent finishes. Cindric also has a stage win, but doesn't spend a ton of time at the front (29 laps led, four top fives).

15 of 21

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - JUNE 07: Stewart Friesen, driver of the #52 Halmar International Chevrolet, looks on during US Concrete Qualifying Day for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 07, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. (Photo by Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jared C. Tilton | Getty Images

Driver: Stewart Friesen

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 7

Comment: One of the season's most unlucky drivers, you get the feeling he'll pop off a win any race now. His series-best 126 laps led suggest it'll happen sooner than later.

16 of 21

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - MAY 23: Chase Briscoe, driver of the #98 Nutri Chomps/Pet Supermarket Ford, stands in the garage area during practice for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 23, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Photo by Brian Lawdermilk/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Brian Lawdermilk | Getty Images

Driver: Chase Briscoe

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 6

Comment: Briscoe hasn't worked his way into the top tier of the Xfinity Series yet, but he's knocking on the door. Though he has just 14 laps led, his 10 top 10s and six top fives indicate he could battle for the title by season's end.

17 of 21

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - JUNE 07: Grant Enfinger, driver of the #98 ProtectTheHarvest.com Ford, looks on during US Concrete Qualifying Day for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 07, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. (Photo by Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jonathan Ferrey | Getty Images

Driver: Grant Enfinger

Series: Gander Trucks

Rank: 5

Comment: It's just a matter of time before Enfinger wins a 2019 race, and he might be the title favorite at the moment. He's yet to produce a DNF, finishing in the top 10 in all but one race while leading 110 laps.

18 of 21

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - MAY 25: Justin Allgaier, driver of the #7 Hellman's Real Mayonaise & Ketchup Chevrolet, stands on the grid during qualifying for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 25, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Photo by Brian Lawdermilk/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Brian Lawdermilk | Getty Images

Driver: Justin Allgaier

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 4

Comment: At some point Allgaier's luck will turn and when it does, watch out. Almost always a threat to win when he finishes a race, the series veteran will likely be racing at Homestead for a title.

19 of 21

LONG POND, PENNSYLVANIA - JUNE 01: Cole Custer, driver of the #00 FIMS Manufacturing Ford, poses with the winner's decal on his car in Victory Lane after winning the NASCAR Xfinity Series Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway on June 01, 2019 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Jonathan Ferrey | Getty Images

Driver: Cole Custer

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 3

Comment: Custer has been excellent this season, and his numbers are nearly identical to one of his rivals in Christopher Bell (three wins, seven top fives, eight top 10s) but has fewer laps led and stage wins. Still, he's a title contender.

20 of 21

DOVER, DE - MAY 04: Christopher Bell, driver of the #20 Rheem Toyota, poses with the winner's sticker after the NASCAR Xfinity Series Allied Steel Buildings 200 at Dover International Speedway on May 4, 2019 in Dover, Delaware. (Photo by Matt Sullivan/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Matt Sullivan | Getty Images

Driver: Christopher Bell

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 2

Comment: Bell might possibly be the championship favorite, but he seems to have an off-race (eight top 10s in 13 races) for whatever reason more often than the No. 1 driver on this list. That said, he's got a series-best 572 laps led, three wins and is capable of dominating a race at the drop of a hat. Or a green flag.

21 of 21

BROOKLYN, MICHIGAN - JUNE 08: Tyler Reddick, driver of the #2 KC Motorgroup Chevrolet, celebrates in Victory Lane after winning the NASCAR Xfinity Series LTi Printing 250 at Michigan International Speedway on June 08, 2019 in Brooklyn, Michigan. (Photo by Logan Riely/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Logan Riely | Getty Images

Driver: Tyler Reddick

Series: Xfinity Series

Rank: 1

Comment: The champ continues his reign. Reddick has been, well, ridiculous this year, with 12 top 10s in 13 races -- 11 of which were top fives (!). If there's any knock on him, it's that he's only led 318 laps, but he'll be racing in Miami for the title once again.
