Scenes from The NASCAR Foundation’s Speediatrics festival

The NASCAR Foundation hosted 250 children from the Daytona Beach community for its third annual Speediatrics Fun Day Festival as part of six youth health festivals throughout the 2019 season. The ever-popular event included appearances from six drivers. Scroll through to see scenes from the day.

The NASCAR-themed festival is geared toward inspiring children to lead a healthy lifestyle. Looks like it's off to a good start.

Activities included a Goodyear Tire Race, Pinewood Derby Races and a Pit Crew Challenge alongside active NASCAR drivers.

Here's Austin Hill, no doubt dispensing some words of wisdom as he signs autographs.

The festival is one of six events to be held in race markets across the country and is an initiative of The NASCAR Foundation's Speediatrics Children's Fund, which supports needs expressed by hospitals, specialty clinics, camps and others providing children's medical and health care services.

The Pinewood Derby Races seemed to be a big hit.

It's pretty clear fun was had by all, per usual.

The car used for the pit crew challenge sported a Speediatrics-inspired paint wrap.

The NASCAR Foundation also surprised kids with new bikes, plus bike helmets and bike safety training through a partnership with Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma.

That's a wrap on the day, but not the weekend -- NASCAR industry members will gather to help build bicycles Saturday.
