With the Monster Energy Series off this week, Zack Albert ranks the top 20 drivers in the Xfinity and Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Both series compete on road courses this weekend, with the Xfinity Series racing Saturday at Road America and the Gander Trucks tour visiting Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Sunday.

(Note: Ranking change reflects the difference since the most recent installment of the Xfinity/Gander Trucks Power Rankings on June 12, another Monster Energy Series off weekend)

Series: Xfinity Series
Rank: 17
Change: -2

Driver: Johnny Sauter
Series: Gander Trucks
Rank: 16
Change: -3
Comment: The former series champ opened the year with five top-10 finishes in six races, capped by a Dover International Speedway triumph in May. In 10 starts since, Sauter has placed no better than eighth, slipping from second in the series standings to creak into the playoffs.

Series: Xfinity Series
Rank: 14
Change: +2

Rank: 13

Brian Lawdermilk | Getty Images

Driver: Austin Hill
Series: Gander Trucks
Rank: 12
Change: -1
Comment: Hill proved his first career win in the Daytona opener was no fluke, backing it with a recent triumph at Michigan International Speedway and three poles this season for Hattori Racing Enterprises. The strides have been offset by five DNFs, but the postseason offers a fresh start.

11 of 21

BRISTOL, TENNESSEE - AUGUST 15: Matt Crafton, driver of the #88 Great Lakes Wood Floors/Menards Ford, stands in the garage during practice for the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 15, 2019 in Bristol, Tennessee. Sean Gardner | Getty Images

Driver: Matt Crafton
Series: Gander Trucks
Rank: 11
Change: -2
Comment: The two-time series champion has gone eight races without a top-five finish. Crafton snagged the final Gander Trucks playoff spot but carries the weight of an uncharacteristic 52-race winless skid.

12 of 21

BRISTOL, TENNESSEE - AUGUST 15: Stewart Friesen, driver of the #52 Halmar International Chevrolet, stands on the grid during qualifying for the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 15, 2019 in Bristol, Tennessee. Series: Gander Trucks
Rank: 10
Change: -3

Driver: Grant Enfinger
Series: Gander Trucks
Rank: 9
Change: -4

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA - JULY 04: Chase Briscoe, driver of the #98 Ford Performance Ford, looks on from the garage during practice for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Circle K Firecracker 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway on July 04, 2019 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Jeff Curry | Getty Images

Driver: Chase Briscoe
Series: Xfinity Series
Rank: 8
Change: -2
Comment: Briscoe's first full season in the Xfinity Series has been marked by consistency, his 17 top 10s in 22 races topped by an Iowa Speedway victory last month. He actually owns the best average finish among series regulars at 8.4.

15 of 21

LOUDON, NEW HAMPSHIRE - JULY 19: Justin Allgaier, driver of the #7 BRANDT/Rev 1 Energy Chevrolet, stands in the garage area during practice for NASCAR Xfinity Series ROXOR 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 19, 2019 in Loudon, New Hampshire. (Photo by Brian Lawdermilk/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Brian Lawdermilk | Getty Images

Driver: Justin Allgaier
Series: Xfinity Series
Rank: 7
Change: -3
Comment: Allgaier has ranked among the top levels of Xfinity regulars, but the lack of victories has dogged the JRM No. 7 team. Contrast against last season's five-win campaign, the bare cupboard is striking. The home stretch offers a chance at redemption.

16 of 21

BRISTOL, TENNESSEE - AUGUST 15: Brett Moffitt, driver of the #24 Midnight Moon Moonshine Chevrolet, stands on the grid during qualifying for the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 15, 2019 in Bristol, Tennessee. (Photo by Sean Gardner/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Sean Gardner | Getty Images

Driver: Brett Moffitt
Series: Gander Trucks
Rank: 6
Change: +4
Comment: There has been little let-up in Moffitt's switch from Hattori to GMS this season, and the No. 24 is peaking at the right time. His three wins this year have come in the last eight races, including a Bristol triumph that has cleared his way to the postseason's next round.

17 of 21

NEWTON, IOWA - JUNE 15: Austin Cindric, driver of the #22 Menards/Richmond Ford, sits in his car during practice for the NASCAR Xfinity Series CircuitCity.com 250 at Iowa Speedway on June 15, 2019 in Newton, Iowa. (Photo by Matt Sullivan/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Matt Sullivan | Getty Images

Driver: Austin Cindric
Series: Xfinity Series
Rank: 5
Change: +3
Comment: The 20-year-old full-timer for Team Penske has put all the pieces together this year, building a measure of momentum late in the regular season. His last six races have produced his first two wins (Watkins Glen International, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course) and three pole positions.

18 of 21

LONG POND, PENNSYLVANIA - JULY 26: Ross Chastain, driver of the #45 Niece/Acurlite Chevrolet, stands on the grid during qualifying for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Gander RV 150 at Pocono Raceway on July 26, 2019 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Jared C. Tilton | Getty Images

Driver: Ross Chastain
Series: Gander Trucks
Rank: 4
Change: Not Ranked
Comment: Few drivers have been hotter since Chastain switched his championship-points eligibility over to the Gander Trucks in June. He rocketed into the title chase with a pair of victories, adding an Xfinity win at Daytona to boot.

19 of 21

WATKINS GLEN, NEW YORK - AUGUST 02: Cole Custer, driver of the #00 GoBowling Ford, stands in the garage during practice for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Zippo 200 at The Glen at Watkins Glen International on August 02, 2019 in Watkins Glen, New York. Sean Gardner | Getty Images

Driver: Cole Custer
Series: Xfinity Series
Rank: 3
Change: --
Comment: Custer has cooled slightly since winning at Kentucky in June but remains firmly in the discussion of championship favorites. With his growth this season and five wins in his pocket, a Monster Energy Series seat seemingly isn't far away.

20 of 21

BRISTOL, TENNESSEE - AUGUST 16: Christopher Bell, driver of the #20 Rheem-HtPG Refrigeration Products Toyota, stands on the grid during qualifying for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 16, 2019 in Bristol, Tennessee. Jared C. Tilton | Getty Images

Driver: Christopher Bell
Series: Xfinity Series
Rank: 2
Change: --
Comment: Bell leads the Xfinity tour in laps led by a wide margin (1,268 to Custer's 782) and boasts the best average start, a remarkable 4.0. His five wins and all-around performance have only bolstered his status as a title contender.

21 of 21

LOUDON, NEW HAMPSHIRE - JULY 20: Tyler Reddick, driver of the #2 Gimme Radio/Megadeth Chevrolet, looks on during qualifying for the NASCAR Xfinity Series ROXOR 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 20, 2019 in Loudon, New Hampshire. (Photo by Brian Lawdermilk/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Brian Lawdermilk | Getty Images

Driver: Tyler Reddick
Series: Xfinity Series
Rank: 1
Change: --
Comment: Not much has rattled the unflappable 23-year-old driver and his No. 2 Richard Childress Racing team. Reddick rides a streak of six consecutive top fives, and his 19 top 10s in 22 races leads the series. His four wins are capped by his most recent victory a Bristol, a worst-to-first charge that showcased the strength of his title defense.
