The ‘Big 3’ drivers of Christopher Bell, Cole Custer and Tyler Reddick dominated much of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, topped off with Reddick collecting his second consecutive championship before moving up to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2020. Let’s take a look back at some of the numbers that trio and others were able to post throughout the year, courtesy of Racing Insights.

Christopher Bell (eight wins), Cole Custer (seven) and Tyler Reddick (six) combined to win 64% of the races in 2019, or 21 of 33 events. It also serves as the first season in Xfinity Series history where three drivers had at least six victories.

Christopher Bell was the only driver to sweep stages in a race during the season, doing so on four separate occasions.

For the third time in the four-year history of the elimination-style playoff format in the Xfinity Series, the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway was won by the championship-winning driver. Tyler Reddick (2018, 2019) and Daniel Suarez (2016) have won the Miami race to win the title, while William Byron (2017) won the title without winning the race.

The pole winner went on to win the race four times in 2019, including Cole Custer at Pocono Raceway, Austin Cindric at Mid-Ohio SportsCar Course, Kyle Busch at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Tyler Reddick at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

A driver was able to rebound from an in-race infraction six times to earn victory throughout the year.

Just like in the NASCAR Cup Series, Joe Gibbs Racing earned the most victories among all organizations with 13 wins in the Xfinity Series in 2019.

A team swept the top-two starting positions in three races in 2019 (all three times it was Joe Gibbs Racing), while a team swept the top-two finishing positions on two occasions (both came at Daytona with JR Motorsports doing so in February and Kaulig Racing doing so in July).

Tyler Reddick won from 38th at Bristol Motor Speedway in August, tied for fourth lowest starting position ever in the Xfinity Series for a race winner and the second straight season that a race was won from the 38th starting spot.
