Watkins Glen International has played host to 38 total NASCAR Cup Series races. The first was held in 1957, followed by events in 1964-65. The Cup Series returned in 1986 and has been a constant in the Empire State since with the only missed year coming in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
