Riley Herbst rounded out the top 10 in the Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway on Friday.
The top 10 finish for Herbst, his eighth of the year, added 37 points to his season total.
Herbst started in 14th position. The third-year driver has picked up two top-five and 11 top-10 finishes in his career.
Over the course of his career at Kentucky Speedway, Herbst has put together one top-five finish and one top-10.
The Las Vegas, Nevada native began the race three spots behind his career mark of 10.6, but finished three places ahead of his career average of 13.
Herbst’s 10th-place finish was against a field of 36 drivers. The race endured five cautions and 27 caution laps. There were eight lead changes.
Austin Cindric earned the victory in the race, and Chase Briscoe finished second. Justin Haley crossed the finish line third, Ross Chastain secured fourth, and Justin Allgaier grabbed the No. 5 spot.
After Noah Gragson won the first stage, Cindric took control and won Stage 2 before taking the checkered flag.
