Noah Gragson finished fourth in the Drydene 200 at Dover International Speedway on Saturday.
Gragson’s top-five finish, the 10th time he has achieved that result this year, added 49 points to his season total. He now ranks third in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with 789 total points.
Gragson started in second position and led 27 laps in the race. The third-year driver has secured two career victories, with 20 top-five finishes and 38 results inside the top 10.
The fourth-place result for Gragson was the second top-10 of his career at Dover International Speedway in three starts.
The Las Vegas, Nevada native’s starting and finishing positions compared favorably to his career averages, starting seven spots higher than his career mark of 9.3 and completing the race four places ahead of his 7.6 career average finish.
Gragson’s fourth-place finish came against a field of 36 drivers. The race endured six cautions and 27 caution laps. Prior to the checkered flag there were six lead changes.
Justin Allgaier earned the victory in the race, followed by Austin Cindric in second place and Ross Chastain in third. Gragson secured fourth ahead of Harrison Burton’s No. 5 finish.
After Cindric won the first stage, Allgaier seized control and won Stage 2 before taking the checkered flag.
