The NASCAR Xfinity Series is where names are made. Therefore, we’d like to tell you a little more about under-the-radar "rookie" Dale Earnhardt Jr., who we're pretty sure is making his series debut this weekend at Richmond Raceway.

AGE: Either 46 or 28. We don’t know. All depends on whether the glasses and beard are present.

PREVIOUS JOBS: Extremely successful podcaster, professional landscaper.

INTERESTING FACT NO. 1: His nephew, Jeffrey, also races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series when he isn’t off practicing for The Hunger Games.

HOBBIES: eBay, finding the two remaining items in the cupboard and making a sandwich from them that goes viral.

DISCOVERED: On iRacing, just like William Byron, whose transition from the platform to the Cup Series Dale hopes to replicate. Dale actually owns the largest sim rig known to mankind (pictured).

INTERESTING FACT NO. 2: Enjoys parkour.

REPUTATION: Has already earned the respect of competitors thanks to his friendliness and charming southern demeanor. Teammate Justin Allgaier, who has mentored Dale, calls Dale “a great down-to-Earth guy who I can look up to, and not just because I’m 4-foot-10.”

STYLE: When he’s not in a firesuit, Dale has been known to mimic the look of rap artist Eminem rather closely.

INTERESTING FACT NO. 3: Dale plays multiple instruments and even scored a minor country hit in 2004 entitled, “My Giant-Ass Love.”

SOCIAL-MEDIA FOLLOWING: Despite his rookie status, Dale has amassed an astonishing 2.4 million followers on Twitter, where he shares everything from vintage-car restoration updates to his unwavering love of boy bands.

INTERESTING FACT NO. 4: Occasionally stops by the military school he attended as a youth to warn students about the dangers of delinquency and misbehavior, and does so through a character he created known as “Prison Dale.”

OUTLOOK: Has all the potential of a driver capable of immeasurable success. That said, did not run in the Camping World Truck Series, so hopefully he isn’t being moved up the ranks too quickly.

RIVALS: None on track, as he’s immensely likeable and races others clean. Only one seems to be a fellow named Steve who has yet to accept Dale’s friend request even five years later.

BOTTOM LINE: Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a lot riding on this debut, but we expect great things from this young rookie. He has the potential to win an Xfinity Series championship or two, reach the Cup Series and win multiple Daytona 500s and maybe even 400 Most Popular Driver awards. Time will tell.
