William Byron is in his ninth full-time NASCAR Cup Series season as driver of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. He has 16 career Cup victories, with the latest coming in October 2025 at Martinsville Speedway to clinch a third straight Championship 4 berth. Byron netted his second consecutive Daytona 500 win to open 2025, becoming one of five drivers to win the contest on back-to-back occasions. Byron got his first taste of Victory Lane in Cup by winning the Coke Zero Sugar 400 in August 2020 at Daytona International Speedway. He earned Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in the Cup Series in 2018. Byron scored four wins in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series as a rookie in 2017 en route to the series championship, and his seven wins in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2016 set a NASCAR record by a first-year driver.
