Under the ownership of Anthony and Tonya Goodyear, New River All-American Speedway, located in Jacksonville, North Carolina, finds itself in the middle of a renaissance.

Opened in 1999 as Coastal Plains Raceway, the facility immediately hosted events for several premier short-track divisions, including the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, the NASCAR Southeast Series and the Pro Cup Series.

Among the names that visited Victory Lane at New River throughout the track's first decade include five-time Goody's Dash Series champion Robert Huffman, Shane Huffman and Steve Wallace, while others like Bubba Wallace, Ryan Blaney and Rodney Childers have also turned competitive laps at the track.

Following 2014, no major events took place at New River's oval. That changed in 2021, when the Goodyear family took over ownership of the property, kickstarting a new era of racing.

One of the biggest changes the Goodyears made was the introduction of a crown jewel event in the Battle of the Stars. Josh Berry won the first running of the race back in 2021.

The heart of New River remains its vibrant short-track racing culture. Among the most successful drivers at New River are Curtis Lanier and Rusty Daniels, who have 10 wins apiece.
