Bristol Motor Speedway is home to thrills, spills ... and drivers getting in other drivers' grilles. With this year's Bristol Dirt Race set to spark this weekend (Sun., 7 p.m. ET, FOX), @nascarcasm recaps some past fiery feuds at the Tennessee track.

AUGUST 1999: Probably the most legendary moment in Bristol Motor Speedway history -- Dale Earnhardt's nudge of leader Terry Labonte in Turn 2 of the final lap. Earnhardt won the race, but emerged from his car to a chorus of boos from the crowd. This is when The Intimidator gave the famous quote: "I didn't mean to turn him around. I did mean to rattle his cage, though." That's Kannapolis nomenclature for "My bad."

MARCH 2002: Off the top rope, y'all. Greg Biffle sent Kevin Harvick hard into the wall during the closing laps of the spring Xfinity Series race. After the race, Harvick was mad enough to hardcore-parkour his way right into Biffle's FACE HOLE.

MARCH 2002: Contact between Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Robby Gordon on track led to contact between the two on pit road after the race. It then led to this. We think Dale was giving the peace sign to one of Gordon's crew members but forgot the other finger. More like Birdy Mo', amirite?

AUGUST 2002: Robby Gordon's next Bristol victim? Jimmie Johnson. Well, several others were involved, but it was only "Seven-Time" who gave Robby the New Jersey Salute. Jimmie's usually such a peaceful guy -- I had no idea he even had the middle finger in his arsenal.

AUGUST 2002: Ward Burton was upset enough with Dale Earnhardt Jr. to wait on the apron for what seemed like 30 minutes in order to throw his heat shields at the No. 8 car. Word of advice: heat shields aren't exactly the best thing to throw at a car. It does nothing. It's like throwing a Kleenex at a brick wall. Burton had words for Earnhardt later -- we're still trying to decode what they were.

MARCH 2006: It would appear that Jeff Gordon is mildly upset with the race craft of one Matt Kenseth. The Wisconsin native said he was coming over to apologize but wasn't able to get the full "Hey dere, sorrey about that thing dere" before getting the SHOVE from Jeff.

AUGUST 2008: Carl Edwards executed a perfect bump-and-run on Kyle Busch at the Bristol Night Race in 2008. He enjoyed it so much that he then executed another one on the cool-down lap after Kyle nudged him, just for the absolute hell of it.

AUGUST 2012: You've seen this one a million times. Here's a million and one. Tony Stewart's helmet ricocheting off Matt Kenseth's hood into the warm Bristol evening air is a mood. It's anger but it's also performance art.

MARCH 2013: We believe that this run-in between Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin after the spring race was their first. It marked the introduction of mad-as-hell-and-not-gonna-take-it-anymore Joey Logano -- an alter ego of his that we had not yet seen. It was unfortunate, but it was merely a rough patch in the long and fulfilling friendship of Hamlin and Logano.

SEPTEMBER 2021: Kevin Harvick felt that Chase Elliott held him up during the closing laps, allowing Elliott's teammate Kyle Larson to win the race. That led to this post-race altercation that we all thoroughly enjoyed. "YOU are not allowed in the Dawsonville Pool Room EVER, HARVICK. LIFETIME BAN."
