This year's "DESI9N TO DRIVE" program received dozens of submissions from patients at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's. The selected designs were sketched by 11-year-old Alex Corbin and 13-year-old Kayleb Duran-Rodriguez.
After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Corbin has underwent surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, MRI tests, therapy and now wears hearing aids due to side effects of chemotherapy treatments.
His design helps show his love for s'mores on warm summer nights. These incorporations will be depicted on Elliott's fire suit, gloves, shoes and helmet.

Duran-Rodriguez was diagnosed with leukemia in 2020 and designed Elliott's No. 9 NAPA Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The design incorporated Duran-Rodriguez's love for campfires with friends and family.
