It was another great year for paint-scheme design; here is my entirely subjective top-10 list for 2023.

You desperately want to scrape a tortilla chip down the side of Ricky Stenhouse Jr.'s Busch Light Clash car, right? So do I. That's what a great design does -- it inspires. Kudos to JTG Daugherty for finally recognizing molten cheese as an art form.

Oh, sweet scheme of mine! Erik Jones drove this masterpiece in the 2023 Daytona 500. The race didn't go the way he wanted as he was caught up in a wreck that led to a DNF, probably because of a broken Axl. It's not like we weren't going to say that. Come on.

Did William Byron feel the pressure driving this crisp, nostalgia-inducing No. 24 scheme at Darlington that his boss Jeff Gordon drove in 1998? Doubt it. First off, William won the race. Second, he was 1 year old when Jeff drove it.

Chase Elliott's scheme at Atlanta this season was heartwarming in all the right ways. For his kind of hometown race, Chase drove this beauty designed by a pediatric cancer patient at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. It was done so through his foundation, and we could not possibly love this more.

We had to make this one a tie ... FIGHTER. LOL! The "Star Wars" crowd will love that one. 23XI's dueling "Star Wars" schemes at the Phoenix Raceway finale -- enjoy them we did. The 23XI designers just don't miss. Which means they definitely aren't Stormtroopers armed with laser blasters. Again, "The Star Wars" crowd will love that one.

We raise a tall, refreshing glass of Coca-Cola to Denny Hamlin's Atlanta paint scheme. The red, the chrome numbers -- everything about this scheme makes us thirsty. Not in like "A mom looking at pictures of Ryan Blaney on Google Image Search" way. We mean actual thirst.

Tyler Reddick had the arduous task of repping so many awesome Jordan paint schemes throughout the season, but the Carolina Blue scheme he ran at Darlington is our favorite. It made us nervous because of the dreaded Darlington Stripe -- I mean, you don't scuff a new pair of Jordans. Anyway, it was great. This is also the point where Duke fans stop reading.

This was the scheme where Kevin Harvick's retirement really hit home -- this Homestead scheme throwing back to his 2014 championship car. It is a beautiful tribute to Harvick's most significant achievement in a storied career. Hit us right in the feels; that's millennial speak, Kevin. We know you love that.

This is a tie, because you cannot have Ricky Bobby without Cal Naughton Jr. Chase Briscoe's and Ryan Preece's schemes for the fall Talladega Superspeedway race were amazing. Whichever designer came up with these woke up in the morning and pi ... (EDITOR'S NOTE -- WE HOPE YOU KNOW THE "TALLADEGA NIGHTS" QUOTE BECAUSE WE CAN’T SHOW THE REST). Hope you don't mind the tie. You can't have Shake without the Bake.

Atop the paint scheme mountain stands Grimace. Bubba Wallace's Homestead Speedway car, paying homage to the beloved blob of McDonaldland who will live in our hearts forever. We don't even know what species Grimace is. Our best theory is that's what happens when Barney The Dinosaur mates with a beanbag chair. (NOTE: We did not include Tyler Reddick's Hamburglar scheme because we do not associate with known felons.)
